Coatings for wind turbines often involve paints or zinc flake coatings, such as those offered by Dörken from Herdecke. Now the wind energy industry is meeting in Hamburg from September 24 to 27 for WindEnergy Hamburg. For four days, the focus will be on renewable energy generation both onshore and offshore. As a manufacturer of corrosion protection solutions, Dörken will also be there.

1,500 companies from 40 countries and 40,000 participants from 100 nations are expected this year. In addition to turbines and rotor blades, the range of products and services includes mechanical and electrical components, logistics, safety, financing and insurance, innovative materials and smart energy. There will also be functional coatings to ensure the durable, reliable and economical use of wind turbines. "We can't wait to welcome people who are interested in our products," says René Rother, Key Account Manager Industrial Coatings. "We look forward to answering any questions about our basecoats and topcoats. We will also be happy to answer any questions about the planned PFAS ban."

Components in the wind industry are exposed to high climatic stresses and mechanical loads. Dörken's zinc flake coatings offer cathodic corrosion protection for various components. Even bulky components, such as brake disks or roller bearings, can be effectively protected thanks to a room-temperature curing solution.
