Dr. Bruno Lindl, ebm-papst Mulfingen GmbH & Co. KG, had been a member of the Executive Board of the VDMA's General Air Technology Association since April 2008. After around ten years, he was retired during the board meeting.
In addition to his work on the board of the association, Lindl also provided his expertise to the industry steering committee of the VDMA Energy Forum. He was also a board member of the VDMA-led Air and Drying Technology Research Association.
Dr. Thomas Schräder, Managing Director of the General Air Technology Association, thanked Lindl for his exemplary commitment. "In addition to his work on the Executive Board, Dr. Lindl has taken on other important roles in the VDMA," said Schräder. "As a trained physicist and technical managing director of a globally active company, he has contributed his knowledge to important VDMA research associations and forums and provided impetus."
In June 2018, Lindl had already stepped down from his role as Managing Director Research and Development at ebm-papst and retired. His successor, Dr. Stephan Arnold, has been Head of Group Management Research and Development at ebm-papst since July 1, 2018. The Executive Board of General Air Technology in the VDMA co-opted Arnold with immediate effect.
