Workshop tip: AI for efficient corrosion protection

(Bild: Adobe Firefly, KI-generiert)

From June 16-17, 2025, a highly interesting workshop on artificial intelligence for efficient corrosion protection will take place at Dechema-Haus in Frankfurt. The gfkorr - Society for Corrosion Protection has set itself the goal of minimizing the occurrence of corrosion damage in Germany through education.

In this context, a paradigm shift is imminent. It is no longer a question of whether, but how quickly methods of artificial intelligence (AI) will be established for efficient corrosion protection in practice. The development of computer performance and digitalization has brought enormous progress in recent decades. In particular, AI as a "game changer" has arrived in many sectors, including corrosion protection and management. The workshop will present and discuss current developments. Different perspectives will help to understand the challenges arising in the individual sectors and communities. The aim is to highlight strategies for the targeted use of AI methods in the areas of corrosion and corrosion protection and to discuss risks.

Participation fees from 90 euros (students) to 190 (gfkorr member) or 210 euros (non-member).
