Ende März 2023 fand die neueste W3+ Fair, eine Netzwerkmesse und interdisziplinäre Plattform für Optik, Photonik, Elektronik und Mechanik in den Anwenderbranchen MedTech, Life Science, Automotive, Aerospace, Consumer Electronics und Defense, in Wetzlar statt.

Advanced packaging – the complex assembly and interconnection of semiconductor components – has emerged as an essential technology for the integration of photonics, optics and electronics.

Ein optimiertes Design und eine lückenlose Überprüfung der Oberflächen von Optiken sind entscheidend für moderne Optiksysteme, denn selbst kleinste Unvollkommenheiten führen zu Streulicht und damit zu einem Kontrastverlust und einer geringeren Lichtausbeute. Am Fraunhofer-Institut für Angewandte Optik und Feinmechanik IOF in Jena werden dafür Streulichtmessverfahren entwickelt, die ungewollte Streulichtanteile detektieren können.
